P2P 003 OTTOLINGER

Cosima Gadient and Christa Bösch are the designers behind the independent label OTTOLINGER.

In the privacy of their own minds Cosima and Christa exchange thoughts after their FW25 Show in Paris. Inner Dialogue is the most spontaneous form of thought. The brains behind Ottolinger open up their inner world to us and somehow we are only just Skim-ming the surface. From the feeling of untucked shirts sparking a philosophical crisis to the acceptance of the lived in garment as perfection. The untethered and independent brand is truly a well of creativity.

“When the alarm rings, she steps into the spotlight of her own life. In a world that demands constant performance, every morning ritual—every carefully chosen accessory and untucked shirt—becomes an irrevocable act of reinvention. This collection follows a busy woman whose daily routine blurs the line between authenticity and illusion, revealing that in the relentless pace of modern life, the truth is as fleeting as the moment she dares to be truly herself.”

Cosima Gadient: Okay, deep breath. We survived another show.

Christa Bösch: Barely. My brain still feels like it’s running down the runway.

CG: Same. But honestly, that’s the energy of this collection—this non stop inner dialogue, this constant reinvention. The text from the show? That’s just what happens in my head before coffee.

CB: Or when you’re trying to leave the house but can’t decide if your shirt should be tucked or untucked.

CG: Exactly! That moment when you’re like, who am I today? And suddenly, getting dressed feels like a philosophical crisis.

CB: Which is kind of the world we live in now, right? Everything moves so fast, it’s hard to tell what’s real and what’s just for show. When we design, we try to keep at least one foot on solid ground—whether that means going for a run, escaping to nature, or just taking a second to breathe.

CG: Fashion is an illusion, but it has to be honest too. That’s what authenticity means to us. It’s about rawness, showing the process, making things feel lived in instead of overly perfect.

CB: Yeah, it’s not about curating some flawless version of yourself. It’s about wearing something and letting it take on your energy.

CG: Which brings us to reinvention. People think it’s this big dramatic thing, but it’s really in the little moments—choosing a weird combination, wearing something in a way you never have before.

CB: Like a road trip! You can’t bring your whole closet, so you start seeing things differently. That’s how we approached this collection—limitation forcing creativity.

CG: Speaking of reinvention… Skims pieces! We took our deconstructed world and merged it with second-skin, body-conscious pieces. It was like opposites attracting in the best way.

CB: Yeah, soft and strong, effortless but totally subversive. And now my mom finally understands what we do.

CG: Same! And the soundtrack—we wanted it to feel like your brain when you’re running late but also questioning your entire existence.

CB: Like, am I choosing this outfit, or is the outfit choosing me?

CG: Exactly! We mixed pulsing beats with these more cinematic, almost dreamlike moments. It’s the rhythm of real life—fast, chaotic, but then suddenly introspective.

CB: Ottolinger has always been about that balance—performance and reality, strength and softness, chaos and control.

CG: And at the end of the day, it’s about our community. We don’t make clothes just to be looked at; we make them to be lived in.
